Epl Season Predictions

Bold predictions are purely a fun exercise that helps keep fantasy owners everywhere excited about the upcoming fantasy season. With all that being said, in this piece I am going to breakdown seven bold predictions surrounding pitchers for the 2021 fantasy season. Things could get interesting in Premier League action Monday when surging Brighton & Hove Albion hosts Crystal Palace in a crucial showdown. The host Seagulls have been playing their best brand of soccer as of late, joining league-leading Manchester City and fourth-place Chelsea as the lone outfits in England’s top flight unbeaten in at least their last six league fixtures. With Fulham, Leeds United and West Brom sealing their spots back in the Premier League, these standings prediction are very difficult.

But with the 2020-21 season kicking off in less than 48 days from now due to all of the schedule changes.

Of course, transfers in and out will heat up between now and the transfer window closing on Oct. 5, so a lot can change with all 20 teams.

It will be intriguing to see if teams who finished the 2019-20 season in red-hot form can carry that into the start of next season given the short break over the summer.

Champions Liverpool and Manchester City will be the favorites to win the Premier League title, while Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham will battle it out for the remaining two Champions League spots as they are rebuilding and nowhere near being title contenders, although Man United are closer than the other three.

At the bottom, it’s tough to see how the three newly-promoted teams can prosper given the short turnaround between the 2019-20 season and the 2020-21 campaign but Leeds seem the most prepared to solidify their spot in the Premier League.

In the fight for Europe, Wolves, Leicester and Everton look like the best bets of challenging the established top six but watch out for Southampton. Other surprise packages could be Brighton and Everton, while you worry for Burnley and Crystal Palace given a lack of squad depth, plus Sheffield United and Newcastle United limped to the finishing line in 2019-20.

All in all, a lot will change throughout the 2020-21 season, so we will do another one of these predictions post midseason.

For now, here’s our 2020-21 Premier League standings prediction and how we think the table will look when the final whistle blows on May 23, 2021.

Epl Season Predictions Nfl

The 2019-20 Premier League season was like no other in the history of the competition. With the lockdown, uncertainty surrounding the finish, and eventual empty stadium games aside, there were still some truly incredible moments that any football fan could enjoy.

Season

From Liverpool finally capturing the trophy, to Sheffield United's story book first season back in the top flight, and the reality of watching Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Frank Lampard, and Mikel Arteta on the sidelines, last season has given the 2020-21 season a lot to live up to. However, this is the Premier League, and there will always be drama and excitement.

Thanks to the latest ever finish to a Premier League season, there will be a very short gap before the start of next season, with the first set of games set to take place on 12th September. This, however, still gives us plenty of time to speculate over what we will see in the coming year.

Can Liverpool claim the trophy for the second season in a row? Will any of the newly promoted teams survive the drop? Will goal line technology affect the final league standings as much as it did this year? Despite still being weeks away from kick off, it's never too early for a good prediction or ten.

10. Arsenal Will Miss Out On The Top Four

In 2019-20, despite eventually lifting the FA Cup, Arsenal suffered one of the worst seasons in their history. With their lowest league table finish since coming 12th in 1994-95, the Gunners fell far short of their minimum goal of securing Champions League football for the following season.

Epl Predictions Merson

While things have certainly looked brighter for the team with Mikel Arteta in charge, there is still too much work to be done for them to genuinely challenge the top four. It's hard to see Liverpool and City dropping out, Man United seem to be far stronger than they were at the start of the season, Chelsea have made some big signings, and Leicester will certainly be in with a shout once again.

Arsenal have picked up a good player in Willian from Chelsea, but he's not the kind of signing that can single handedly turn a team around. The Gunners need more help for Aubameyang, but more importantly, they need a far stronger defence. The only top half teams to concede more than the Gunners last season were Chelsea and Burnley.

Premier League Season Predictions

The back fives from the days when Arsenal were winning leagues left, right, and centre were legendary, yet now, the team appears to be moving forward with David Luiz rather than signing a genuine leader and game changer. They need someone to do for them what van Dijk did for Liverpool, and until then, they will struggle to make any real push into the top four.
